Owner and Instructor for Aloha Safety and Health, Alissa has a PhD in Microbiology and spent much of the last decade working in safety and compliance with a focus on chemical and biological safety, including emergency response to hazardous materials incidents. She has over two decades of experience teaching and training at multiple levels in a variety of settings.

Alissa started Aloha Safety and Health after training to volunteer with the Hawaiian Paradise Park Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). She realized her collection of skills could be put to good use as a CPR, AED, and first aid instructor. Alissa is also a volunteer with the Hawaii Medical Reserve Corps.

Alissa can also be found playing with her dogs and attempting to learn tropical gardening.
