Aloha.

Aloha Safety and Health is a small woman owned business that provides safety and compliance services on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are a licensed training provider of American Red Cross content. Courses are offered in Basic Life Support, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, Wilderness and Remote First Aid, and lay responder CPR, AED, and first aid.

Alissa Hanshew, owner and instructor, has a PhD in Microbiology and spent much of the past decade working in safety and compliance with a focus on chemical and biological safety, including emergency response to hazardous materials incidents. She has over two decades of experience teaching and training at multiple levels in a variety of settings. Alissa started Aloha Safety and Health after training to volunteer with the Hawaiian Paradise Park Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). She realized her collection of skills could be put to good use in helping to foster safer communities by becoming an American Red Cross instructor.
